Potassium cyanide is a compound , colorless crystalline salt , looks like a sugar having chemical formula KCN. It is soluble in water. Cyanide is a deadly poison which is available in every chemical store. It is present in environment due to natural and industrial processes. It releases hydrogen cyanide gas which interferes with body's ability to use oxygen. It targets mostly those body parts which are sensitive to low oxygen level.

Potassium cyanide comes from natural substances like some foods , plants like almonds, lima beans. It is also present in chemical which is used to develop photographs. It absorbs water from air and dissolves. Here are the list of common foods that contain cyanide -
