-> Cut the onions into pieces and place them on the trays
-> Make a heap into the dehydrator and fix the temperature to 60 degree Celsius
-> Leave it there for 4-12 hrs till the time onions become leathery in appearance

Dehydrate Onions in the Oven
A simple and easiest way to dehydrate onions is by using an oven at home. Follow the procedure -
-> Preheat it at 60 degree Celsius
-> Keep the thin slices of onions on a cookie sheet in a layer and placed an oven thermometer at the center.
-> Keep this into the oven and placed the door open at around 2 inches to allow air circulation
-> Check the temperature every 30 minutes to make sure that the onions are not being heated properly.
-> After 6-12 hrs onions will get shrink and ready for storage.

Dehydrated Onions in Microwave
Now a days microwave dehydrating has become popular in drying onions. It get more benefits than any other conventional process its due to the quality of onions is damaged low because to its less exposure to the dehydration method.
-> Cut them into long thin sliced pieces
-> Keep them into microwave on a microwavable plate
-> Set the timer 30 minutes and put them into defrost in order to neglect burning onions
-> Observe the onions after 30 minutes and flip it to see if it has been dried fully.

Air Drying Onions
It is a conventional way to dehydrate onions by hanging them into your home. It is cost saving method of dehydrated onions and takes 2-3 weeks of drying.
-> Clean the onion but not wash with water, as it may enhance growth of bacteria.
-> Leave 6 inches of stem and braid the onions together.
-> Follow this step till the time you almost foot of an onion and keep it in an open space.
