What Are Tufted Carpets?

Before understanding the concept and its formation process, it is important to know about tufts. What exactly tufts are? How they are prepared? Tufts are pack of yarn fibers which are formed of natural fibre . The tufts can be put to the bottom and arise as loop or cut strands. Tufted carpets are most popular for domestic carpeting. Tufted carpets are used commonly as they are sturdy and long lasting , and suitable for domestic purposes.

The formation of tufted carpets makes them alike from each others. A new automation has been used for making tufted carpets. For preparing them, needles are used to push the yarn into pre-woven backing to place them with underlying loops. It might be cut pile or loop pile or it can be a combination of both. Colored or colorless yarn are used for making tufted carpets. The carpets made with colorless yarn are then go through dyed processes to get the required color. The very common wanted tufted carpets are the twist pile, velvet or loop pile.

There are convertible tufted carpets and available in many beautiful colors , patterns and textures. They consist of easy tufting of the pile and no knotting. It is made up of materials which contains pre-woven fabric , pile yarn , latex glue and backing material. The best benefits of tufted carpets are – they are comparatively economical. Different variety of hand tufted carpets are comes in woolen , tufted nylon , acrylic , polyester and polypropylene carpet. The best features of these tufted carpets are their strength , toughness and its unique patterns. They can be used in homes because of their durability and performance.

- Cleanliness and  maintenance
Everyday traffic on tufted carpet leaves heavy dust , which requires regular vacuuming to eliminate dirt and remains its longevity.

- Stain Protection
Always remember not to rub , DAB as wool fibers become fuzzy when get rubbed.

- Indentations
You can use caster mats and always try to shift furniture periodically when possible to let recovery of fibers.

- Good Installation
You should take correct measurement and fitting to make sure your carpet laid on right position.

- Light exposure
Usually all carpets get faded when exposed to bright sunlight. Tufted carpets using best dye material in order to reduce this effect and hold to BSI standards, although later on your carpet will fade.
